Tiara Hinton - Intern
My name is Tiara Hinton, I was born and raised in Norwalk, CT. I’ve lived in Atlanta, GA since 2019. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Virginia Union University and working on my Master’s in Social Work from Walden University full time. Before becoming involved in the social work field, I have worked in the children and family’s population for 8 years. Children are my weakness and all of my past clients have helped prepare me for my future career. I have worked with children with eating disorders, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorders. My methodology seeks to develop and support healthy social-emotional development and wellbeing in children. I use a strength-based approach; focusing and building upon what is working well for each individual and helping the child overcome current life challenges. I believe that healing is a collaborative endeavor that requires honest caring without judgment. Through my work, I will be committed to helping children and families overcome addictions to alcohol and drugs, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, and other stresses that affect all of us at some time in our lives.
