DURATION OF OFFICE VISITS / TELEHEALTH SESSIONS:
Intake sessions are scheduled for 1 hour. After that, standard sessions are 50 minutes. Standard sessions may be longer if requested, and this additional time is pro-rated.
FREQUENCY OF OFFICE VISITS / TELEHEALTH SESSIONS:
Most individuals maintain once or twice-weekly therapy appointments. You and your clinician can determine a plan to meet your specific needs. There are occasional cases of acute crisis or in-depth therapy which may call for more frequent appointments.
TIMING OF OFFICE VISITS / TELEHEALTH SESSIONS:
Generally, office visits begin 5 minutes after the hour and end 5 minutes before the hour.
SCHEDULING:
Appointments are available weekdays and weekends 8:00 am - 8:00 pm. We use an appointment system that will send you reminders for sessions and helps make sure our clinicians are available for you. To set an appointment, complete this form.
CANCELLATION AND LATE POLICY:
We expect you to keep your appointments which are reserved for you. If you are late to an appointment the session will end on time and not run over into the next person's session. If you miss a session without canceling or cancel with less than 48 hours notice, the full session fee will be auto-drafted within 24 hours after the end of the scheduled appointment time. Insurance will not reimburse missed sessions.
RATES & INSURANCE:
Session fees range from $75 to $250 per 50-minute session. Sessions that go over that time frame are pro-rated.
ACCEPTED PAYMENT METHODS:
One Love Counseling, LLC accepts cash, checks and all major credit cards (including HSA cards). It is our office policy that a valid credit card be kept on file for all private pay/private insurance clients. All clients are encouraged to use the credit card/HSA card they leave on file for recurring payments as this simplifies the payment process.
INSURANCE/FINANCIAL POLICIES:
One Love Counseling has clinicians paneled with United Healthcare and Aetna-Blue Cross Blue Shield. For those with different insurance coverage, we can provide you with a receipt for payment that you may use to file a claim for out-of-network benefits. We will also provide you with a Super Bill if requested at the end of the month which is a document that you may submit to your insurer for reimbursement for out of network treatment. We do not file claims for out-of-network plans on your behalf.
Co-payments, deductibles and ALL session fees are due at the time of service. Bills/invoices for services are not routinely sent. It is your responsibility to know what your payments are and what your responsibility is to pay them.
You are responsible for any and all denials from your insurer regardless of the reason for the denial.
PRO-BONO AND SLIDING SCALEPOLICY:
We do have clinical interns at different times of the year and those trainees are equipped and available to see individuals at no cost. We do also offer a sliding scale based on proof of income however it is only available for a limited number of clients on our total caseload. Please inquire with our clinical team for more details and availability.
