Eckhart Tolle’s Teachings

Eckhart Tolle is an author most known for his transformational books The Power of Now and A New Earth. Both books have taken readers on very real and meaningful shifts into the present moment. In these books, Eckhart guides you through examining the role of our ego in our lives and what the cost is of creating an identity out of it. He goes deeper when he takes on the pain body which he very honestly addresses past trauma and how we allow it to impact us today. Eckhart’s teachings proved to be so very profound that Oprah Winfrey partnered with him taking 10 weeks (a chapter per week of A New Earth) holding the world’s first ever world wide web class. These classes were live, picked up in several hundred countries, and included participation via Skype, email, phone calls, and chat boards. While his teachings are not a formal therapeutic tool, they certainly fit completely in alignment with Mindfulness and CBT’s principles and practices and are the true underpinnings of any healing process.
